New welcome signs in Columbia
 2025-09-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Trey Stephens. The City of Columbia is placing new "Welcome to Columbia" signs on roadways that enter the city, to include"Home of Lindsey Wilson University." Two new signs can be seen on Hwy East 80 and Jamestown Street.

CU Kayak Fishing Team member lost in accident
 2025-09-26 - Taylor County, KY - Photo from personal collection. Peyton Hughes, a 21-year-old member of the Campbellsville University Kayak Fishing Team, did not return to base as scheduled Wednesday afternoon after a solo practice for a fishing tournament in Hemp Hill, Texas. After many hours of searching by multiple agencies, his body was recovered from Toledo Bend Lake. From tournament communications, B.A.S.S. officials added their thoughts and prayers with those of the angler's family, friends and fellow competitors during this difficult time.

At the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery
 2025-09-26 - Russell County, KY - Photo from Denise Dowd. Friends of Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery have been very busy helping with special events this season. Volunteers help in every way they can so the Hatchery can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. In this picture from earlier this month, the Wounded Warrior project was well attended by many veterans. Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is located at 50 Kendall Rd, Jamestown, KY and volunteers are always welcome.

It's got everything he needs for survival; food, water, shelter, not a lot of human activity... won't be surprised if he hangs around.
