Promoting Columbia and Adair County

Raising funds promoting Columbia and Adair County in the 70s were, from left: Orvis Grider, Richard Lee Walker, Curtis Wilson, Buck Watson, Kenneth Scott and Coy Downey. Grider and Scott worked with Houchens Market and the other four were realtors with Walker also holding the office of County Judge Executive and Downey also holding the office of Mayor.

Lindsey Wilson University's 31st annual "Safe Halloween" will be held from 6-9pmCT on Friday, October 31, 2025. The event begins at the Doris and Bob Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 299 Williams St. Children and family members will trick-or-treat through the university's decorated residence halls, which also feature Lindsey Wilson students dressed in costumes.
