Robert Hadley opens new salon in Columbia

New business, "A World Class Salon," held a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening Saturday morning on the corner of Wall and Greensburg Streets in Columbia. Owner and Russell County native Robert Hadley brings his experience home to this area from Arizona and looks forward to seeing everyone soon. From left at the event were: Ellen Zornes, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce; Aaron LaBarge and his sons in back; Rodney Hadley, MaKayla Hadley, Madonna Hadley, Mayor Pam Hoots, Lisa Clark, Robert Hadley, Morgan Shackleford and Tiffany Foley.

Courthouse Curb painting in progress

Trey writes, "This morning, City of Columbia Parks and Recreation staff, assisted by inmates from the Adair County Regional Jail Class D facility, are painting the curbing around the historic Adair County Courthouse in Downtown Columbia. The City would like to thank Mark Jones of Class D for assisting in coordination and the inmates for all their hard work."
