Scenic Adair County - raindrops on the Public Square
2025-09-21 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. This color sky hasn't been seen in Columbia for quite some time as the drought has continued. Sunday, however, raindrops began to fall before folks could get home from their after-church food stops. And not a complaint could be heard anywhere.

Travel: Austin Botanical Gardens
2025-09-21 - Austin, TX - Photo by Veronica Arnold. Veronica writes, "When we visit places, what do you like to see? As an Extension County Master Gardener... I am a sucker for a good garden. This time of year, yes flowers are in bloom but many have died off and are drought-stressed. In Austin, Texas, their botanical garden in the middle of the giant Zilker Park compound was wonderful. You can hear the heavy traffic of the big capital city, can also get lost in the giant park and hear nothing but nature. Look far away and see the Austin sky line as see in pictures. The botanical garden was a good visit. It was close the Science and Nature Center. I'll attach those pictures separately."
