Travel: Crater Lake National Park

Robert writes, "Planning our itinerary for this trip months in advance, only one day was allocated for visiting Crater Lake. The weather for the scenic drive at the lower elevations looked promising, but, at the top, the rim drive presented us with this thick FOG!
While the lake itself was not visible on the day of our visit, we still enjoyed the rim drive, stopping at various lookouts, attempting to see if we could spot the lake from other pull-offs (was not gonna happen). We also got in a couple hikes on the day of our visit.
You can get a glimpse of the impenetrable fog in the top of this photo. The small waterfall is just below the rim of Crater Lake." Comments | Permalink
