Rosa Flowers Grissom's daughter Carrie bought her mother five art lessons from Helen Flatt in the mid-1950s. Rosa began painting at age 80 and became known as Columbia's Grandma Moses. She painted over 100 pieces. In 1966 the Columbia Women's Club held an art show in her honor at the Adair County Public Library. Comments | Permalink
