I had the opportunity to watch my granddaughter Hailey play in the Shelby County West Middle School game recently against the Moorman Middle School Spartans on the MCMS court. It was a good match. That's Hailey at left, and that's her Coach walking in front of the seated players.
It's a small world. Hailey's Volleyball Coach, Stewart Shirley, is a native of Summer Shade, KY in next-door Metcalfe County. He is a Shelbyville police officer retired after 20 years and seven months service. Comments | Permalink
