A Columbia High School class of 1953 yearbook is shared by Annette Richards. In it, her best friend Hilda Willis Jenkins was elected Miss Red and White that year. Under the photo it read, "The honor of 'Mr. and Miss Red and White' has been bestowed upon two Seniors, Chester Brockman and Hilda Joyce Willis. They were chosen as such because of their dependability, good character, sportsmanship, leadership ability and a well rounded outlook. This is the first time since Columbia High has published an annual that the high school has been privileged to select a boy and girl to represent them in their year book as 'Mr. and Miss Red and White'."
