Travel: White Pocket 1

Robert writes, "White Pocket lies in a remote region of the Paria Plateau and is part of the Vermillon Cliffs National Monument. Six miles Northwest of here lies the ever-popular 'Wave'. The Wave has restricted access, it's nearly impossible to get a permit, and for now, the White Pocket is still open for anyone that wants to visit. However, our guide mentioned there's talk of White Pocket likely going to a permit system as well, due to its growing popularity.
It takes a little over two hours to get here from Kanab, Utah. Half of the ride is dirt/gravel/sand and requires high clearance 4 wheel drive. There are a few tour companies in Kanab that will take you here. We were very happy with the one we chose... a friendly tour guide that gave us all the time we wanted for picture-taking. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out numerous spots that might get overlooked, or rushed by.
We spent hours exploring this one square mile of geological WONDER!!!"
