The strongest appeals made to Fiscal Court, of all the county business items on the April agenda, came from law enforcement - Jailer Jamie Richards, at left, and Sheriff Josh Brockman, at right. Both men stated they need more help and can't keep employees without being able to raise compensation to be competitive with surrounding counties. County Treasurer Melinda Quinn is in the center.
