Cheers - starting the day with hot cup of coffee

Audra Campbell likes to start her day enjoying a hot cup of coffee according to her daughter Rita. Her comment reminded me of my Mom who, like Audra, started her day with a hot cup of black coffee and a buttered biscuit - with a twist.
Mom, following in her own mother's footsteps, would open a hot biscuit, slather a good bit of butter onto each half, then toast it in the oven until the butter was melted and the edges were crisp. -- LW Comments | Permalink
