Veronica writes, "Had a couple peckers swarm this maple tree. First, we had Red bellied woodpeckers which are smaller. These Red Pileated Woodpeckers are much larger. Their loud pecking at the wood caused my dogs to constantly think someone was knocking at the door. Woodpeckers are a migratory bird and are federally protected." Comments | Permalink
