Churches: Latter Day Saints Church, Sulphur Well, KY

2010-11-21- Photo by Ed Waggener One of this area's most beautiful churches is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 280 Mitchel-Edwards RD, Sulphur Well, KY. The location is just .25 miles from the famous Lighthouse Restaurant in Sulphur Well. The church has a long tradition of strong youth programs. It's worth a trip off the beaten path to see or attend. If you go, it's only 23 miles away from the Historic Adair Co. Courthouse in Columbia, KY, by way of W. 80 one of the numerous scenic routes, through Gradyville and a series of roads you'd better look up on Google. Return trips via Greensburg or Edmonton are longer, but take about the same amount of time, 40-45 minutes to travel, as it takes to go over Mell Ridge. But the trip through Gradyville, over Weed and Mell Ridges, offers some of the most spectacular scenery in South Central Kentucky.
