Scenic Kentucky 704: Amandaville Christian Church

If all you were to see driving north on KY 704 were this church, if you didn't get to marvel at the charm of the valley view at Bakerton, or get to see Crocus Creek in all its seasons; if the Chowning farmstead, the most beautiful in Kentucky, , were not part of the trip; if there weren't scenic remains of old stores and houses along the drive; if the route didn't include the confluence of Powell and Crocus Creeks; if there weren't more hawks, eagles, game fowl and song birds along its path than along any other; if there were the unforgettable climb up Dug Hill; if the Maker hadn't placed redbuds, dogwoods, cedars and plum thickets in in abundance in so many places; if there were not the incomparable view of Columbia from Butterpint Ridge; if there weren't any of the exquisitely manicured farmsteads along the way; if there were none of these magical sights were there and the road just held Amandaville Christian Church, KY 704 from Burkesville to Columbia would still be worth all the added time a trip through its twists require.
