Robert writes, "A cheese lover's paradise! Around 10 minutes from the ocean, this destination is a must stop if you're in the area. Not just for cheese lovers, ice cream as well, and a self-guided tour inside the plant. Free samples of their cheese (6 year aged sharp cheddar was my favorite). Had our itinerary allowed it, we would have liked to spent more time in the plant. The self guided tour with large viewing windows allowed for observations of every step of the cheese-making process. Sixty dairy farms supply around 45-50 truck loads of milk every day to keep up with the operation.
On the day of our visit, the parking lot was nearly full, with hundreds of tourists pouring in and touring the creamery; of course providing opportunities for some street photography as well!" Comments | Permalink
