Travel: Don't forget the Supreme Court

Veronica writes, "While many visitors to DC see the monuments and Congress, they often forget to visit the Supreme Court. It is free, open to the public on posted hours. And on certain days and times you can try to get on the free lecture/tour which takes place in the actual courtroom! (Sorry no pictures are given here as electronic devices are prohibited in the courtroom.) So we were able to totally focus on the lecture and learn about the history of the Court and bask in the knowledge that we were sitting where great history has been made. They even let us exit down those front steps on that day! Usually they are closed and visitors are not able to go up or down those steps.
It is a free activity, and one that doesn't take much more than an hour to see most of the exhibits in the Court building. Highly recommend." Comments | Permalink
