The Miss Rosenbaum Rose happy at the TRH

2026-05-08 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Barry Loy
This red climbing rose originally grew at the Epperson-Rosenbaum home on Burkesville Street. It had to be removed, several years ago, to make space for a new gas meter. So it found a new home in Betty Coop’s yard. Betty offered it to the Trabue-Russell House rose garden where it has found another happy home. We don’t know the horticultural name but have christened it The Miss Rosenbaum Rose to honor the Rosenbaum family who immigrated to Adair County in 1847; and Miss Willie Rosenbaum who taught several generations in Adair County schools. - Barry and Mary Anne Loy
