Wildflower: Butterweed

A lot of the bright yellow flowers decorating Kentucky fields this month are butterweed, a native plant that spreads aggressively in disturbed areas and can be toxic to livestock. Wikipedia says"Its ability to fill entire fields or ditches with dense stands of yellow flowers demonstrates invasive potential even within its native range."
