On the footbridge at SW, once a swinging bridge

The little town of Sulphur Well on KY Hwy 70 in northern Metcalfe County, KY has been a tourist attraction for over a century, and the annual homecoming draws big crowds. At one time, the big attraction was the perceived health benefits from drinking the sulphur water which came from "The Gum," the artesian well in the left of the photo. Today more and more people come for walks across the footbridge, picnicking, or to visit the people who feel a connection. Comments | Permalink
