Letter: Plastics are dangerous to cattle

So, this floating around in my field with 15 prime angus heifers has my drawers in a twist. This could have been chewed on by my girls and become stuck in their throat and 1-4 or more could have died. That's unacceptable whether they are worth $1 or $2,000. Right now the higher figure is close to it.
Balloons, ice bags, grocery bags, and anything thin plastic is a danger. Cattle are like children they explore with their mouth.
Please keep these contained and never release them. What goes up must come down. They don't float off to heaven. Some poor animal exploring can die a horrible death by suffocating when lodged in their throat or stomach. Please do better people. End of rant. Miss Vicky. Comments | Permalink
