Sandi Keaton Wilson, center, came to Adair County's first Writers' Day event by way of Somerset, Kentucky. Her work has appeared in numerous college journals, anthologies, and other national publications. She is a nature lover in every sense of the word and a Kentuckian through and through.
In Darlene Campbell's introduction before Sandy read, she said, "The first piece I ever heard from Sandi was about a woman being stuck on an escalator. I laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes. Then she wowed me with a poem that described Appalachia as a woman. This poem helped inspire a series of paintings back in 2018 that I'm still working on." Comments | Permalink
