Birds of Kentucky: Easy-going
2024-01-05 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Pen
There's been a snow goose hanging out with the Canadians at a Shelbyville park for the past couple of weeks. It tends to hang mid-flock, close enough to spot the distinctive black wingtips, but always gliding just out of range for a decent photograph.
This white goose, on the other hand, is much more sociable. It lives at the park full time, and is typically curious about humans. I had to take several steps away from it just to take a photo, and I suspect it would have hopped right into the car with me to check for crackers, given half a chance. Comments | Permalink
