The Columbia Police Department assisted TJ Health Columbia staff by helping clear snow and ice from the hospital's helipad. This effort was to ensure the helipad would be available for helicopter patient transport if needed during the winter storm. Parkway flag rescued - a thank you

A big shout out is given to Tyler Crowe, City of Edmonton workers, and Andrew Pulliam for their efforts and work to get the huge parkway flag off the ground. Thanks also to all those who sent a message or called about the flag. The flag is a landmark for all who travel the Cumberland Parkway.

Scenic Adair County - icy Elm tree at the Hunter Place

If you follow her correspondence on Columbia Magazine and her Facebook page, Vicky Pike often mentions "The Hunter Place" - part of her farm in New Columbia. This view of the iced Elm tree inspired her this week as she went to take care of her pampered Angus girls, looking toward the water tower at Walmart.
