Power poles damaged causing electrical outages

A juvenile is alleged to have taken the parents’ car and hit two power poles in the area of Burkesville Street between the Post Office and Five Star at the Columbia Bulk Plant. No injuries were reported. Power went off and on several times after midnight requiring law enforcement, KU, State Highway Department, and Duo County to be on the scene for restoration of power and repairs.
