Afternoon forecasts from the National Weather Service in Louisville are projecting wind chills values in the negative-20s for south central Kentucky once the cold front moves in.
Expect dangerously cold conditions tonight into Friday. Very windy conditions are expected Friday, with wind gusts of 40-45 mph. Updated forecasts for the area from the National Weather Service in Louisville show the transition from rain to snow happening between 6pmCT and 9pmCT for our area.
Rain will change to snow from west to east tonight. The transition to snow will be quick with a rapid drop in temperatures also noted.
