Jamie Sizemore, Executive Director of Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland, presented at the Rally to End Hunger at the Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort on Tuesday. A variety of food and a fried peach pie from The Varsity on North Avenue in downtown Atlanta. The location was at one time the largest drive-in fast food restaurant in the world, and it covers 2 city blocks. The Kentucky statewide tornado drill will be conducted at 9:07amCT on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. - Tornado sirens are for OUTDOOR warning purposes! They are not meant to be heard indoors or to wake you up.
- Hearing a tornado siren is a signal to get indoors and seek additional information.
- When sirens stop, it does not mean the severe weather threat is over!
- Sirens are activated by city or county officials, not the National Weather Service.
