Student's art work on display at Trabue Russell House

Callie Jo Compton, holding little niece Ava Grace, shares her watercolor artwork at top right which is part of the Student Art Show at the Trabue Russell House. She is in eighth grade at Adair County Middle School. The assignment is in the category of Neurographic Art which "promotes mindfulness and intentionality at a slower pace." The description card among the works reads, "To get started: 1. Dim lights and play relaxing music; 2. Focus on a feeling; 3. Draw a line, doodle, or scribble in 5 to 10 seconds; 4. Examine the intersections of lines, and make connections by rounding off corners; 5. Continue adding shapes and lines; 6. Continue to round off corners and 7. Finish with medium of choice." Coach Willis writes, "Congratulations to many of the members of the 2023 ACHS Track & Field Team that earned a total of 25 medals and 24 ribbons at the SW Warrior Invitational on Friday night, March 17, 2023.
