A recycling effort underway

My washing machine may not recognize its detergent today. In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic used, I’m trying laundry sheets. They replace the bottles of liquid with a liquid-less sheet that washes itself away as it cleans the laundry. Hopefully, it works as promised, and I will happily do without big plastic jugs of laundry detergent from now on. We’ll see how the test goes. - LW Comments | Permalink

Birds of Kentucky - Bald Eagle

Two Adair Countians reported having seen a Bald Eagle last week - Carol Klingberg and Rebecca Montgomery - in the eastern and northern areas of the county. This one was spotted as I drove south from a weekend with granddaughters in Shelbyville before I got to Little Mount. Before I could get positioned to try for a better picture it spread its massive wings and soared on the high wind. - LW Comments | Permalink
