ACHS Biology classes made a visit to the Columbia Wastewater Treatment Facility this week as they learned about viruses in general, COVID-19 and how wastewater can be tested as an indicator of the viral spread. Joining the group were: our guest teacher Jeffrey Chalfant--Graduate Student STEM Education, University of KY; his direct supervisor, Sahar Alameh--Professor of STEM Education, University of KY; Donna McNeil--Research Engineer Associate; Lindell Ormsbee--Professor of Civil Engineering, University of KY; Brian Crump--Supervisor, Columbia Regional Office of the EPA; Steven Breeding--Chief Operator of Plant Operations, Columbia Facility; and Nick Tupman--Plant Operator and Collections, Columbia Facility (former graduate of ACHS).

Burns awarded T.J. Regional Health Scholarship

Briley Burns, a Senior at Adair County High School, is one of three area seniors awarded $2,000 in scholarship funding from T.J. Regional Health. Burns will be attending Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY this fall. Comments | Permalink
