Veronica writes, "A trick to getting little mouths to eat fresh greens is growing it yourself and letting the little hands help harvest it. They like to pick their 'favorite leaf' and gladly eat it come meal time!
Pictured are some hand picked favorites of my garden helper. Eager to help and eager to eat healthy! That's a win-win!"

Veronica writes, "April showers bring May flowers. Don't plant until after Derby Day...
A few gardening colloquialisms we often hear. Some ring true and some have exceptions such as the spring garden! We planted things that like cool weather such as salad greens and potatoes back in March. Now we are getting in good harvests of the salad greens and some root vegetables like radishes to start freshening up our diets!"

Travel: White Pocket 1

Robert writes, "White Pocket lies in a remote region of the Paria Plateau and is part of the Vermillon Cliffs National Monument. Six miles Northwest of here lies the ever-popular 'Wave'. The Wave has restricted access, it's nearly impossible to get a permit, and for now, the White Pocket is still open for anyone that wants to visit. However, our guide mentioned there's talk of White Pocket likely going to a permit system as well, due to its growing popularity.
It takes a little over two hours to get here from Kanab, Utah. Half of the ride is dirt/gravel/sand and requires high clearance 4 wheel drive. There are a few tour companies in Kanab that will take you here. We were very happy with the one we chose... a friendly tour guide that gave us all the time we wanted for picture-taking. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out numerous spots that might get overlooked, or rushed by.
We spent hours exploring this one square mile of geological WONDER!!!"
