Bouquet created from roadside weed blossoms

2026-06-07 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Wendy Butler Burt
Flower artist Wendy Burt writes, "Today’s roadside “weed” bouquet — musk thistle (noxious weed); Queen Ann’s lace (non-native flower/weed also known as “chigger weed” since its blooms appear at the same time as those nasty chiggers); greenery is forsythia trimmings; and gorgeous butterfly milkweed — the only native plant in the bouquet."
