These Adair Countians attended the Berea College Brushy Fork Leadership Conference in 2005 and worked on a team project with a goal to strengthen the skills of local leaders committed to working together for the public good. LEAD Adair was the result, a program started to train future leaders. Attorney Derrick Helm knew he would base his practice at home even before he ever left for college. As a student at Russell County High School he felt a passion for a career that would help local families. It made sense to him to locate at home and restore a historic building for his offices.
