Walker Realty was the lunch sponsor for the July Chamber of Commerce meeting and Winfrey Bates, center, was the star of the event with her homemade pies (homemade all the way to the crust). Her daughter Amy Walker hosted the luncheon. Amy, Winfrey and Vicki Murray, at right, are realtors together. Amy's husband Dickie Walker did the grilling of hamburgers and hotdogs. Speaker Jeff Neagle brought health information showing Adair County statistics and labeled our priority health issues - chronic disease, obesity, and physical inactivity; substance abuse/drug overdoses; tobacco use/vaping; and teenage pregnancy. The Lake Cumberland District Health Department is working to help residents in the ten counties to make improvements in all these areas. Comments | Permalink
