Paige Nickel, Executive Director of the Adair Tourism and Convention Commission, spoke at the August Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce meeting held at Holmes Bend Marina. She announced the new economic impact data just out form the state which shows Adair County enjoyed the following Tourism income in 2022: employment 124 jobs, labor income of $3 million, state and local collected taxes $1.1 million, and tourism-related spending in the county $16.63 million. Holmes Bend Boat Dock and Marina sponsored the August Chamber of Commerce luncheon from their floating cafe at the Dock. Owner Kelly Caldwell welcomed everyone and shared the story of their growth over the past 30+ years. The Caldwells support Columbia and Adair County businesses by always sending their guests here. She and her husband Joey, their son Tanner, and staff made sure everyone got plenty to eat and drink at the meeting. Comments | Permalink
