Adair County High School basketball games on Tuesday night were winning ones with special recognition times between boys and girls games. In this picture, Blaine Bardin has the ball in the game against Caverna boys. Chloe Vance was honored with an "orange out" at these games - with roses, good health wishes and everyone around her wearing orange in support of her. It was a special night for all. Black History Month proclaimed in City of Columbia

Black History Month has been proclaimed in Columbia by proclamation of Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots. The proclamation says, in part, "Whereas, Black History Month recognizes the achievements made annually by African Americans and a time for recognizing their role in history."
The proclamation was done in conjunction with the second Annual Black History Month 5K and 1 mile walk being sponsored by The Weathers Foundation in Danville, Kentucky. Proceeds from that event will benefit the Agape House PSC, a non-profit Pregnancy Resource Center, located in Columbia.
