Birds of Kentucky: Northern Harrier

All About Birds says of them, "Northern Harriers fly low over the ground when hunting, weaving back and forth over fields and marshes as they watch and listen for small animals." I watched a pair of them hunting over a field on a recent visit to Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge - they tend to move north to nest, but are common winter visitors to both Indiana and Kentucky. Two Lady Indians selected to All District Teams

Ellie Cheatham, at right, and Sarai Collins, at left, were honored Thursday night during the 20th District Championship game. Ellie was selected for the 2023-24 All District Team and the 2024 All District Tournament Team. Sarai was chosen for the 2023-24 All District Academic Team.
Congratulations to both Adair County High School seniors who plan to attend Lindsey Wilson College.
