Wildflowers: Purple Coneflowers

2026-07-01 - Coburg, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis, robertelliswoodworking.com
Robert writes, "Spotted these wildflowers a few days earlier when I was riding around the Coburg area. Unfortunately they were growing in waist high 'weeds', about 30 feet from the road, so the thought occurred to me how bad do you want to photograph them? It had rained earlier, and the temperatures were cooler. After looking for poison ivy and seeing none, I dove in! Showered when I got home and escaped bug bites as well.

It was worth it-barely."
