On the Rogers farm - ever see a cow sitting?

CPD Detective Sgt. Evan Burton writes, "Did you ever see a cow sit? This is Mrs. #201, pictured waiting patiently on “Double R Farm” for local farmer Joe Rogers. We have had fun making captions for this picture."
Columbia Magazine had to ask, "Does Joe swear it’s really his Adair County farm, and that there's been no artful photoshopping? Is it the truth and nothing but the truth, which we get as close to as possible each and every day? Sgt. Burton says, "it’s the real deal!"

The ancient little brick home silhouetted in the evening sky was under discussion at the Adair Heritage Association Tuesday evening. It was in the Stotts family, then the Lasley family. Efforts will be made to contact present owners to see if restoration of it and the cemetery behind it might be in the works.
