Sheila writes, "Our granddaughter, Gracie Burton (front left), was one of two 8th graders chosen by her school to assist in the escorting of the wreath to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, just outside Washington, DC, on April 23, 2024. This was a huge honor and a once in a lifetime experience. What a memorable moment."
The school, Good Shepherd School in Frankfort, also notes in a post on social media that a little before the ceremony, four tour buses of veterans entered the gates, and all the 8th grade students on the trip "made a line and shook just about every veteran's hand that came by."

Roldcat writes, "Although each month's full moon has a unique name, the name doesn't really have anything to do with the actual moon.
April's full moon which occurred last night, on the 23rd, is called the 'pink moon'. With the thin layer of clouds that we had in Crocus (Southeastern Adair County) the moon did project a pinkish glow in the sky." Comments | Permalink Older Photos
