A photo from a 2013 visit to the William Hurt Cemetery off Highway 704 in Fairplay. There was a grave marking ceremony in 2006 for this Revolutionary War soldier who crossed the Delaware with George Washington.
Mike says, "This weekend, Memorial Day, or Decoration Day as it was once known, is the traditional time to revisit our past, reconnect with family and old friends, and honor not only those who died in the service of our great nation, but all deceased veterans, as well as all our revered ones." Adair Quiz Bowl team competes in Atlanta

Students from Adair County High School joined 319 of the top high school quiz bowl teams on May 25, 2024, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for the 2024 High School National Championship Tournament.
The Adair County team consisted of Emma Compton, Sophie Eaton, Skyler Huff, Natalea Kaylor, Benjamin Kingery, Alex Perkins, Annabelle Robertson, Trey Stephens, Madison Turner, D. J. Vertrees, Bailey Watts, and Andrew Zinati. The team was coached by Kate Proctor and Dalton Robertson. Comments | Permalink
