Hunter School

For much of the time the Hunter School was in existence, it was taught by the late Ruth Allen, except for one year when Jean Dohoney (now McLean) taught the school. Though it's now on Stotts Road, formerly Burkesville Road, it is still an unforgettable landmark for travelers along KY 61 South of the Louie B. Nunn Parkway in Adair County. Preservation of historic Adair County buildings is the purview of the Adair Heritage Association. The next quarterly meeting of the Association will take place at 5pmCT on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the Adair County Genealogy & History Research Center Comments | Permalink
