Governor Andy Beshear appointed HSW Attorney Derrick Helm of Jamestown to the Board of Regents of Western Kentucky University. He grew up in Russell County and is a 2006 WKU graduate. He is a 2009 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Since then, he has devoted his career to serving the legal needs of residents of South Central Kentucky. He is the former City Attorney for Columbia. He serves as General Counsel to the Lake Cumberland Area Development District and the Lake Cumberland Community Action Agency and is a member of the Kentucky Lottery Corporation Board. Veronica writes, "It was hot and sweaty working in the yard this morning. I did manage to see this dandy on the hose wheel, and I managed to pause and appreciate this guy. The Red Admiral has a great camouflage on the underside of his wings as well as brilliant patterns on top."
