Salt marsh moth

Veronica writes, "This appears to be a Salt Marsh Moth. They prefer to be in open fields eating weeds. Be careful in handling these moths/caterpillars as those with sensitive skin may be prone to have rash and dermatitis from the hairs on this guy. Their caterpillar form is a wooly type guys...
I find the white and black stripes on the legs very interesting. The strupes reminds me of Zebras and the spots remind me of Dalmatians." Comments | Permalink

Papa Joe and Addie Mae at the Spires Reunion

Renee writes, "The oldest to the youngest at the Annual Spires Reunion held in the Pavillion at the old Adair County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 31, 2024, was Joe Spires (Papa Joe), age 103 and Adaline (Addie Mae) Kelsay, age 16 months, both of Campbellsville. Joe is the son and Addie Mae is the great-great-great granddaughter of the late Ancil and Martha Mings Spires. A total of 66 were in attendance." Comments | Permalink
