Lila Ford writes, "Items that were collected by members of the the Jane Lampton Chapter, NSDAR, for troops that are stationed over seas at this time. One soldier is very dear to our chapter, being a son of a member of our chapter. Please keep all troops in your prayers.
We are continuing to collect more of these items to continue to send to our troops overseas, if you would like to donate any of these items for our troops please leave them with the Adair County Research Center at 307 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. We are planning to mail more boxes within the next several weeks so that our troops know we are thinking and praying for them."

The Jane Lampton Chapter, NSDAR took up the Send Our Troops Christmas Card challenge from the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. Each chapter was asked to mail at least 250 cards. Our little chapter of only 30 members surpassed that request and mailed out 331 Christmas cards! Shout Out to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Chris Lagermann for making the Quilts for Heros Presentation on Veteran's Day so special. It was six years ago when Becky London spearheaded the Quilts for Heroes project and six quilts were presented to local veterans. This year twenty-three quilts were presented. There is a lot of sewing, time, and love going in to these gifts. Comments | Permalink Older Photos
