Burkesville family's baby is first in New Year at TJ

Grayson Lewis Anderson arrived at 12:18pm on January 1, 2025, weighing 4 pounds, 15 ounces, to parents Andrea and Patrick Anderson of Burkesville. In addition to his parents, baby Grayson is welcomed by four siblings, all of whom were also born at T.J. Samson Community Hospital where about 1,000 babies are delivered each year.

WKU Performs in London New Year's Day Parade

Chad writes, "The Big Red Marching Band from WKU was invited to not only march but to lead the London New Year's Day Parade in London, England this year. Officials from the parade confirm that with 270 members marching, the Big Red Marching Band was the largest band to ever perform in the parade."

Marching in the Color Guard of the Big Red Marching Band was Adair County resident and alumni of the Adair County Marching Band Emily Bivens (at left). Emily, who graduated with the ACHS Class of 2022, is now a Junior at Western Kentucky University.
