The Old State Capitol, completed in 1830 and used until 1910, is a vital part of Kentucky's history as a center of significant legislative activity and an architectural gem.

Inside the Metcalfe County History Museum

The historic Courthouse in the center of town was converted to a local museum once the new Judicial Center was built. This is one of the rooms inside the Metcalfe County History Museum featuring quilts, pictures, drawings and posters from past events plus tools and more.
