Nick Roy, Agent for Agriculture & Natural Resources in the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service, pictured at left, led organization of the new beef-up-the-pantry partnership which will benefit both Adair County cattle producers and the Adair County Food Pantry. Vicky Pike, center, in front, owner of Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch in New Columbia, was the first to donate a cow to the new program.

The historic Courthouse in the center of town was converted to a local museum once the new Judicial Center was built. This is one of the rooms inside the Metcalfe County History Museum featuring quilts, pictures, drawings and posters from past events plus tools and more.
