Birds of Kentucky: Mute Swan

A mute swan spotted on Lake Shelby this week. Mute swans are non-migratory, but occasionally end up outside their established range due to weather or food scarcity. According to the Wikipedia entry for Cygnus olor, "The mute swan is one of the heaviest extant flying birds."

Special Visitor at Columbia Police Department

Kentucky's Sasquatch made an appearance in and around the Columbia Police Department on Tuesday, thanks to The Adair County Sportsman Club.
