Bank of Columbia makes $20,000 Gift to Lindsey Wilson College

The Bank of Columbia presents $20,000 to Lindsey Wilson College. The gift will be used to support the Tommy D. Grider Endowed Scholarship and the college's operating expenses.

Birds of Kentucky: Snowy Egret

A snowy egret makes a somewhat rare appearance at Lake Shelby. All About Birds says that "Plume-hunting for the fashion industry killed many Snowy Egrets and other birds until reforms were passed in the early twentieth century. The recovery of shorebird populations through the work of concerned citizens was an early triumph and helped give birth to the conservation movement."
