Planting flags to remember 9/11

Lindsey Wilson University students, from left, Ryan Burkett '30 of Shepherdsville, Brinkley Todd '28 of Louisville, and Adelyn Bennett '29 of Columbia, were among the nine LWU students who helped plant more than 500 U.S. flags on the evening of Thursday, September 10, alongside central sidewalks of the A.P. White Campus to honor the victims of 9/11.

Nine Lindsey Wilson University students spent part of their September 10 evening planting U.S. flags alongside central sidewalks of the A.P. White Campus to honor the victims of 9/11.

Little shop girls learning how to manage customers

Ruby Miller, age ten months, often joins her second cousin Esti Irvin at the family store, Nanwood, on the Public Square in Columbia. Esti's mom Luci calls them their shop girls as they learn the business and interact with customers. Ruby is there with her grandmother Mary Keen. She is the daughter of Molly and Trent Miller of Knifley. Esti, three and a half, works there regularly with her mom and grandmother Sandy.
