Kentucky Color: Stellar Dust

Billy Joe writes, "Recently, it appeared that a vortexing stream of Stellar Dust was being emptied out of the Big Dipper!

This was a cloud formation. It was not a descending vapor trail. In person it was very eerie. I watched it drifting across the sky for close to 10 minutes. During the drifting, the slow twist continued."

Egypt celebrates 150th Anniversary

An Egypt spokesperson says, "We had a tremendous day last Sunday, March 29, 2026, as we celebrated our 150th Anniversary. We will continue with other 150th activities throughout the year, and welcome all who are looking for a church home to join us!"

Some say to look for morels where there are mayapples

Some people say to hunt for morels where there are Mayapples. While Mayapples and morels show up around the same time each year and both prefer the same growing habitat, the best place to look for them is near old trees, especially ones with loose bark or bark that has fallen to the ground.
